Treating and conditioning grain with our market leading Organic Acid surfactant mould-inhibitors significantly improved efficiencies as well as reducing processing emissions by 7,500 tonnes CO2-eq annually. In addition, the quality safety & hygiene of the raw materials were improved.

Grain Treatment
Our customers process their crops at speeds of up to 200tph at harvest treating 400,000 tonnes of grain and beans annually throughout Ireland. This inhibits mould growth during storage, resulting in excellent grain quality and reduced processing costs. A 50% reduction in carbon footprint is also realised for grains, rising to 70% for beans. The quality of Adesco Assured Grain & Beans gives our customers the ability to store their high moisture crops right up to the following harvest with the peace of mind that it is protected against microbial & bacterial activity.

Grain Conditioning
Throughout the year we also work with our customers to produce over 300,000 tonnes of rolled products annually, using both imported and native crops. Customers use a dilution of the same surfactant mould-inhibitors as at harvest time to condition grains prior to rolling. This provides optimum rolling conditions, resulting in a visually appealing and flattened rolled product, minimum fines, no losses and improved efficiencies.
